Welcome to the Harvey County Historical Society
Archives and museum exhibits that preserve the history of Harvey County.
The Museum and Archives are located on Main Street in Newton Kansas, in the Historical Newton Carnegie Library built in 1903.
We welcome visitors and researchers. If you are unable to come to the Museum, our Research Staff is glad to assist you--contact us!
Trash or Treasure Antique Appraisal Event
Saturday, August 14, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Clean out the attic, dig through the basement, search under the bed and in the back of the closet! Bring your antique and vintage items to the Harvey County Historical Museum & Archives to find out if you have a trunk full of treasure or a pile of trash. Historic Home Tour
Saturday, June 5, 2010, 1:00 — 4:00 pm. 317 E. 3rd Street in Newton, home of Nathan Dick and Peggy Souder. Tour is $7 per person, or $5 per person for members of the Harvey County Historical Museum.
